... of 「ネムカード おねがいします!」

LAJ1201 students think our lecturer as cute! Small things like licking the tip of her fingers when she flips the paper. Or attempting to describe the difference between 爱人 and 恋人 as "(the previous) you don't just go to the coffee shop and that's it." Or the use of those red/black lead pencils like a primary school teacher.

Tutors too! Once every TA, TB, TC, it's a must to hear 「ネムカード おねがいします!」, or we start feeling uneasy.

And my TB tutor always says 「こんいちわ」when it's 10am in the morning.

And my TC tutor replacing words with 「いいえ、いいえ」
Eg.「土曜日。。。いいえ、いいえ。火曜日です! 土曜日。。。いいえ、いいえ。火曜日です!」

I love TCs. I love learning Japanese.

Too bad equivalent trade does not work with my results. 「いいえ、いいえ。」 Hahaha...

... of project

Posted by Roger A. Tetrahart at 01:08

It's quite a rush when a friend tells you that you've already completed a project you thought you haven't finished.

2500 words, 4 diagrams, 1000 more to go. Then my friend comes along and says each diagram is considered 300 words in the diagram!

Like I said, quite a rush. :)

Yes! I have reason to believe I'm not the blurrest person alive!

...... let me rephrase that...

Yes! I have reason to believe I'm not the second blurrest person alive!

If Mr Tan shakes hand with all the guests one time, then he will shake 3 times as many men as women.
If Mrs Tan shakes hand with all the guests once, then she will shake 4 times as many men than women.
How many men and women?

10 Things I Hate About You

Posted by Roger A. Tetrahart at 21:05

26 March 2006

1. I hate the way you talk to me, and the way you cut your hair.
2. I hate the way you drive my car.
3. I hate it when you stare.
4. I hate your big dumb combat boots, and the way you read my mind.
5. I hate you so much it makes me sick; it even makes me rhyme.
6. I hate the way you're always right.
7. I hate it when you lie.
8. I hate it when you make me laugh, even worse when you make me cry.
9. I hate it that you're not around, and the fact that you didn't call.
10. But mostly I hate the way I don't hate you. Not even close, not even a little bit, not even at all.

The first gave me the will of dreams.
The next gave me the will to protect.
The third gave me the will to change.
Do not believe these things forget.

The first weakened me with blindness.
The next trapped me in surreality.
The third filled me with great regrets,
And shall be the last of three I'll see.

The bracelet didn't break, literally. In fact it came loose. Now it looks good on my bag. Kinda girlish looking, but still looks good.

My lecturer pronounced 「~ かい」as "Mm-hm kai". Kawaii na...

Saw a girl wearing a similar red specs like mine! Should have taken a photo with her, even though she was a total stranger.

Mm-hm.

Commonwealth Secondary, my secondary school, is moving its premises to the old site of River Valley High, which is near my home! It'll be great because I can go see my teachers with minimal trouble.

In 2 weeks' time CSS will be holding in fundraising concert in Esplanade, which I will be going. Hope to see my some retired teachers that I didn't get to see. And I'm gonna have to skip my math lecture or JS tutorial to make it in time. But... we'll see in two weeks and how I'll reach Esplanade in time.

I'll write more, but Gmail has spoiled my mood enough.

わかないよ。

The friendship mark in One Piece, the "X", is impossible to erase. It gets scratched, burnt, beaten, dried, squeezed, stretched, rubbed, bled, cut..... but it just won't come off!

One tug of the bracelet bought at Mustafa and it breaks.

わかないよ!

keep trying?

Posted by Roger A. Tetrahart at 12:45

08 March 2006

Keep Trying? Keep Trying? O, why should I try?
Where ever my hardest turn effort to cries.
Beyond a how, a when, and a why
Lies my pathway to depression and sighs.

How can I learn, with these clouds in my mind
Of past and pasts, and what the other holds?
These clouds, these attractors, my thoughts shall entwine;
These clouds, these distractions, only hearts would know.
For since when did I allow such petty things Let
Chaos my celebrated naviety
What is this debt we young saplings collect
To pay with innocence, gained maturity.
Why exist euphenisms in our lines
When pessimists exist in equal state,
When "trying" and "struggling" are one of a kind?
Till we're ninety-five, it haunts us till we're dead.

Hats off to the man... I mean,
Even this becomes poetic under him!

The expence of spirit in a waste of shame
Is lust, in action, and till action, lust
Is perjurd, murderous, bloody, full of blame,
Savage, extreame, rude, cruel, not to trust;
Enjoyd no sooner but despised straight;
Past reason hunted, and no sooner had,
Past reason hated, as a swallow'd bait
On purpose laid to make the taker mad:
Mad in pursut, and in possession so;
Had, having, and in quest to have, extreame,
A bliss in proof, and proved a very woe,
Before, a joy propos'd, behind, a dreame,
All this the world well knows; yet none knows well;
To shun the heaven that leads men to this hell.

- William Shakespeare
